The McCloud River is renowned for its beauty & its spring fed water, which starts its journey from the peaks of Mt. Shasta. This
turquoise blueish, gray water is full of nutrient rich minerals and aquatic insects, which feed the many rainbows and browns that reside in these waters. McCloud River Rainbows are famous for being transported to Argentina & Chile in the late 1800's, but are more famous for their tenacity and fight. When you hook a McCloud River Rainbow on a dry fly, you are in for a fight, and you might have to go down river after him. (I'll Help)
