* We Do Not wear waders on this trip. We provide wet suits free of charge, some customers bring their own. On hotter days you can wear shorts or flats pants. Please let us know your size and weight. This is a class 3 rafting trip as well as a fly fishing adventure, it is not safe to wear waders, there is no exceptions.
You must wear at ALL times a Personal Floatation Device or PFD. We will provide you with that.
Bring your felt boots and neoprene socks or we can supply them for you Wear wool or poly propylene socks underneath your neoprene socks for more warmth
No SPIKED OR STUDDED BOOTS IN THE INFLATABLE RAFT (Bring Felt boots or let us know, we have all sizes)
Never wear ANY cotton unless very warm in late May early June. April Middle May floaters wear wool and Poly propylene shirts, jackets and thermal underwear and fingerless gloves. We have splash jackets.This trip is not for everyone. You must be in good physical condition with the ability to hold on tight to the raft at anytime mentioned by the rafting guide in unstable areas of the river.We only use the best equipment , rafts and experienced guides who have guided the Upper Sacramento river rafting for 10 years or more and have great fly fishing knowledge regarding the Upper Sac.
The raft is outfitted with a sturdy frame for fly fishing. one angler is in the front on seat, one angler is in the back on a seat with the oarsmen in the middle, just like a drift boat. The Trip is approximately 9 miles long. We do have dry bags to keep things dry, bring spare clothes to change into, a towel. We have a shuttle service in place to shuttle the trailer to the bottom of the river run. We have all of our Shasta / Trinity US Forest Service Use Permits, bonds, licenses to do this trip commercially.We are all class 4 and 5 certified rafting guides and have advance training and skills to be doing this rafting fly fishing trip on the Upper Sacramento River in the Shasta / Trinity National Forest commercially. We have Private Property access that allows you private access to the best parts of the Upper Sacramento River from Pollard to Dog Creek 9 miles.We meet about 9 am and get off the water at 7pm, I've found later is better for hatches.
You must sign a hold harmless waiver/ release of liability and risk assumption agreement form, in order to do our rafting fly fishing trip on the Upper Sacramento River. If you lose any gear or brake your rod on this trip it's your responsibility. We reserve the right to not do this trip for any reason, but will refund your money.We are experts in rafting and fly fishing the Upper Sacramento River your safety and enjoyment is our main concern.
