Every year many tourists flock to Slovenia to fish glacial rivers that hold the coveted Marble Trout.

The clear tropical looking waters are pristine and crystal clear, they make their way down from the Julian Alps drainages.

Based out of the capital city Ljubljana, we offer fly fishing guide trips on these rivers:

River Ljubljanica, Bistra springs, the Iška, Soča, Idrijca, Unica, Krka, Radovna, Bohinjka, Tržiška Bistrica.

Slovenia Fly Fishing General Season: 1st of March to November 30th. (Some area rivers are different, contact us for more info.)

Once down the many canyons and aquifers the Soča river & the River Réka are places we like to head when the fly fishing conditions are right.

Ljubljanica River

Soča Rive

Fishing season: from 1st April till 31st October

Fish species: marble trout, grayling, rainbow trout, hybrid marble-brown trout

Daily licence price:

• 69 EUR (catch and take)
• 59 EUR (catch and release)

The Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport ist as mentioned the Nr. 1 airport in Slovenia, the airport is located about 26 km north of the city center. From the airport there is an airport bus to the city centre, travel time is about 50 minutes. As mentioned above the airport in Ljubljana is in most cases the best option when travelling to Slovenia, especially if you are travelling to cities in the central, north or northwestern part of the country.
