Lower Klamath River Steelhead Fly Fishing Guiding & Lodging

The Lower Klamath River- The Klamath River is second largest river in California next to the Sacramento. The Klamath is the most important coastal river south of the Columbia River for anadromous fish migration. The first Europeans to discover the Klamath River were the fur trappers from the Hudson Bay Company in the 1820’s. They found many Native Americans living on its banks feeding themselves on the abundance of salmon, steelhead and trout as well as then, year around runs of each specie. By the 1850’s many miners came to this area for the gold rush and steamer ships could be seen going up the river until the rail road was established a few years later. Our trips are based out the town of Klamath on the coast of far Northern California. We have been outfitting and providing guiding here since 1994 and look forward to guiding or lodging you here. August Through March are the usual times, so give a call and we can give you an update. Thanks, Jack Trout – 530-926-4540 * This email address is being protected from spambots.
