Mokelumne River Fly Fishing

Mokolumne river

Fly Fishing on the Lower Mokelumne River can be very rewarding after football season gets over, keep it in mind as a close spot to fly fish near the Bay Area.

Mokelumne River Steelhead Chris Gearhart

Guide Chris Gearhart has been guiding fly fishing steelhead for over 20 years.

The Lower Mokelumne and its special regulations continues to support a fall-run Chinook salmon and steelhead.

To protect these spawning runs, fishing season from the day use area runs from January 1 to March 31 and from the 4th Saturday in May to October 15.

We Meet at Stillman Magee Park in Clements and always have shuttle help to make your trip easy. We like to meet at 7 am but that time is flexible. Our floats lasts about 7 to 8 hours and all the steelhead landed are catch & release.
